Top local version of Piedmonte's star variety by winemaker Bryan Martin (ex Clonakilla). Fruit sourced from the Hilltops region, which is an elevated area centred around the town of Young (NSW). 
"No mucking around here: this spends six months on skins in 1000L cuves, then aged 18 months in foudre. While the tannins are pomace-like and grainy, all in a positive way, they are perfectly ripe, rendering this a pleasure to drink, and it’s backed up with good flavour and structure. Spicy red fruits, cherries and plums mainly, a distinct blood orange/chinotto flavour but remains steadfastly savoury. Medium bodied, lively acidity and an almost cooling finish. Excellent Aussie nebbiolo."
